Description: Participants
will learn how to enhance the Everyday Math daily routines to maximize math
learning. They will try out selected activities, identify the learning
standards addressed and brainstorm ways to modify those activities for children
who need more or a different kind of practice or for those who need an
additional challenge.
Participants will learn general principles
for differentiating math instruction that can be applied to any lesson and will
become familiar with enrichment activities that can enhance any math
curriculum.
The first session will focus on
daily routines, the second, third and fourth sessions will focus on selected
activities introduced in the fall, winter, and spring.
