Description: Discover how this dynamic geometric software for the graphing calculator can change the way students learn geometry.  Participants will learn the basic function of Cabri Jr. and receive activities to use in the own classrooms.   Bring your graphing calculator (TI-84 family) and a flash drive for electronic downloads. 

This 4 session workshop will be made up of 9 hours in class and 1 (or more) hours of homework.

Week 1: Introduction to Cabri Jr.

The basic skills needed to use Cabri Jr.

Week 2: Geometry activities

Midpoint Connector Theorem – Inscribed and Central Angles – Circle Constructions – Coordinate Geometry – Pythagorean Theorem

Week 3: Transformations, other Applications, more activities.

Submit your ideas for constructions or theorems that you would like your class to be able to explore in weeks 1 and 2. This week will be tailored to the needs of your class.

Week 4: Presentations and more

Participants will share the activities that they have developed over the past week. Bring your linking cables, and flash drives to share both Cabri Jr. files as well as the accompanying worksheets that you have created.
