Description:  This workshop will focus on connecting the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks in Social Studies for grade levels 1-4 to literacy. We will share picture and chapter books, other print media and technology (such as Smartboard activities and websites) to enhance your teaching of the social sciences. We will share literature and ideas to enhance the teaching of citizenship for first grade, democracy for second grade, the study of Massachusetts for third grade and geography of the US for fourth grade.
